Happy 4th Birthday Madison!

Adele was so happy to see Madison and to wish her a Happy Birthday. She was saying, "Happy Birthday Madison" over and over again around the house for a week before the party. Then, we get to the party and she says, "Happy Birthday Violet." She did give Madison loves and told her "Thank you for the cookie." It sounded more like, "Dank you sure di cookie."

Farmer's Market

We hung out with my friend Linda (from work) a few weekends ago. We went to the Farmer's Market. Adele scored a free orange from one of the vendor's. She was so happy about it. She carried it around for the rest of the morning. Then it was back to our house for a few rounds of Adele hiding in the covers.

We went to Margaret and Andrew's house for a BBQ, and to see their newest edition to the family ... Bugsy.

Beat the Heat

Right before I took this picture Adele said, "Look Daddy" and then started blowing her nose. Good thing she minds fairly well, and Adam was able to coerce her over to catch the snot.

Father's Day 2009

We went to a Flea Market with my friend Linda, and then had some tasty BBQ at Rudy's. Adele loves corn on the cob!

It was so hot ... we were all so sweaty. Adele's learned to take ice and put it all over her head and face; then she likes to snuggle. I seem to always end up with some sort of stain right around my chest area. Nice ...

Violet's 2nd Birthday

Violet is Adele's best friend. Adele talks about Violet every day, and loves adding Violet's name to everything she's doing.

Example:

Me: Adele, let's get your shoes on.
Adele: Shoes, Violet.
Me: Adele, let's get your bag ready for school.
Adele: Bag, Violet.
Me: We're going to Bethany's house to see Violet.
Adele: House, Violet.

Adele was happy to hang out with Violet on her birthday, although she was not so happy about the burning candles.

Saturday's Activities

We had a full day of fun on Saturday, May 6, 2009. Destination: Conroe/Moorehead Farms for some blueberry picking, and then to Clute for a birthday party.

We cooled off with a strawberry snow cone after our plentiful pick. It took about 35 minutes for Dave and Alan to stand in line to get these things, and they were worth every sweet, sugary bite.

Donovan scored. What a great party!

Visit with Adam's Parents

Adam's parents came to visit us over Memorial Day Weekend. We had a great time with them. We went to several museums and introduced them to Tex Mex, Chuy's style. Adele especially loved the tomatillo salsa.
