Labor Day Weekend

I had work off on Friday. We met up with one of Adele's friends from school. School was closed due to teacher in-service day (which is ridiculous because she's a one year old, and what could her teachers possibly be doing that would warrant an "in-service" day? -- CRAZY). Anyway, we went to the Children's Museum. It was our second time there, and Adele loved it. She played with blocks, walked down a bumpy hallway, and she played with an assortment of switches (up, down, on, off, etc.). It was a great way to spend our morning.

Later that night we had dinner with Charlie and Jody (homemade BBQ) and we went to a Tom Petty concert. It was a pretty sweet deal for us because we got free babysitting out of it. Adam was happy because he was able to shoot arrows at some fake deer.

Saturday we went to a farm in Tomball to buy some fresh, raw milk. Adele was interested in hearing one of the baby goats crying for its mother. She was doing the baby sign for doggie, and looked confused when I kept repeating, "goat, goat, goat." She wants everything to be a doggie.

Sunday Adam had to work, so Adele and I had a relaxing day at home.

Monday I had to work, so it was Adam's time to bond with Adele. I got home around 2:00 pm. At around 3:30 pm, Dave, Bethany, and Violet came over. Violet and Adele play so well together. We grilled hamburgers and sausage, and had a little homemade mac-n-cheese on the side. Bethany made a killer banana pudding. We were stuffed.

It was a great weekend.
